“™Tis the season! Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit when the Towne Singers present their annual holiday concert, Christmas Is a Feeling, on Sunday December 5, 2010 at 4:30 p.m.

Christmas Is a Feeling is a Choral Concert by the Towne Singers, being staged at the Pasadena First United Methodist Church, 500 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91101

The Towne Singers is a non-profit community chorus based in La Cañada and its 100+ singers come from all the local foothill and valley communities.

Beth Richey, music director of the Towne Singers, is very excited about the program this year. “The chorus continues to grow in size and capabilities each year,” she states. “This holiday concert will be a wonderful treat for everyone.”

The music for this concert was chosen to accentuate all those great emotions we feel during the season. A festive blend of traditional, humorous, contemporary, and spiritual pieces will bring to mind everything we love best about this time of year: snow-laden evergreens, mulled cider, colorful lights, sleigh bells, family gathered around the table, and of course our favorite holiday carols.

Specific highlights include Glory, Glory by Moses Hogan, an exquisite arrangement of Angels We Have Heard on High, a rollicking rendition of Up on the Housetop, and a very lively version of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
