About the Artists:

Wendy Crabb grew up in Northern California and spent her summers in San Luis Obispo where her stepmother taught her to sew. After studying photography at college, she moved to New York City where she discovered her love of painting while working at Oliphant Studios. Now living in Burbank, she divides her time between painting, sewing, photography and taking care of her very clever young son.

Thea Saks studied fine art and illustration at Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work is inspired by drawings and prints from centuries past and explores her interest in folklore, fantasy, and classic tales of haunted houses and graveyards.

Daniel Saks is an accomplished set designer, painter and sculptor.  Together with his wife Thea they founded The Mighty Squirm, a company utilizing letterpress and screen-printing to produce “T-Shirts and Art with Romance and a Slight Chill”.

Johanna Wright was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon where she lives now. She received degrees in puppetry and children’s literature and shortly after graduation moved to Brooklyn where she spent many years honing her illustration skills and selling her paintings on the streets of Manhattan. Johanna has written and illustrated several children’s books, including Bandits, and The Secret Circus.  Her latest picture book, Bunnies on Ice, is due out on January 8th, 2013.
