LAST 10 days remain for an exciting opportunity for all SoCal based playwrights! The deadline is May 25th.
A Theatre Connection is accepting submissions for its Los Angeles Commissioned Work Series. The NoHo-based theater company will be commissioning several writers to create monologues inspired by the fair city of Los Angeles.
Selections will be made by June 2014.
In particular, they are looking to support writers (based in Southern California) in the early stages of their career.
Submission Guidelines:
Please submit the following by the May 25th deadline (early submissions are encouraged):
-Two writing samples (full length-plays, one-acts, ten-minute plays are all acceptable but must be in .pdf format- do not put name, or any other writer contact information on the writing samples themselves)
– Bio / Resume
Please e-mail all submissions to — opportunities@atheatreconnection.com — with the subject line: Commissioned Work Series.
They will be scheduling meetings with writers the first week of June to discuss potential projects, scope of work, and fee to pay writer.
