Op-Ed — Cute (true) story!

Who doesn’t “Love Lucy?!”

I Love Lucy – Live On Stage is now playing at the Greenway Court Theatre in West Hollywood (right near the Farmers’ Markets) and it’s a really super fun show.

After I attended last Saturday’s opening matinée, I was on my way home and stopped at traffic lights in my ’hood when I saw that the black VW Beetle ahead of me had an I Love Lucy license plate frame that read “A True Lucy Fan is driving.”

Well, I just had to tell her about the live stage show I had just seen, but how?

Then I remembered we’d been given bottles of water advertising the show.

There was no time to lose! I jumped out of the car – the driver’s window was cracked. I said to the young woman behind the wheel, “Can I give you a present?! I just saw this fun show!”

I handed her the water bottle and then quickly ran back to my car before the lights changed to green.

She seemed surprised and appreciative and I was really pleased to have had the opportunity to pass on the info to a true Lucy fan.
