“Chanbara” Samurai Stories – featuring exciting Japanese sword fighting – is now playing David Henry Hwang Theater in Little Tokyo (home of the East West Players).

Running until August 7th 2011, “Chanbara” Samurai Stories is a thrilling presentation of the basic forms of Japanese sword fighting, accompanied by live narration of the mythical stories, including historical background, context and explanation.

Stories include:  Kawanakajima, Honnoji, Chusingura and Bentenkozou.

Don”™t miss this rare and exciting opportunity to see the ancient art form of Japanese sword fighting in action.

This event is supported by the Japan Korea Society and Lost Kids – Kaze.

The show is written, directed and choreographed by Tomoyuki Nakajima.

Full costumes and props generously supplied by Edo Wonderland.
