Attune 1.0 is a free public art experience scheduled for February 14, 2026 (Valentine’s Day) running approximately 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and presented by NXT Art Foundation in partnership with Arup, an engineering and design firm.
The event is described as a first-of-its-kind countywide activation of sound and light works meant to connect people across Los Angeles County. Using coordinated artistic experiences, it’s designed to create a shared cultural moment that unites communities through art and sensory experience.
Unfolding simultaneously across ten LA County locations, the event consists of simultaneous installations and performances taking place at multiple locations including parks, plazas, and cultural spaces such as Barnsdall Park in East Hollywood, Sycamore Grove Park in Northeast Los Angeles, Exposition Park in West Adams, Jane and Bert Boeckmann Park in Porter Ranch, Hansen Dam in Lake View Terrace, Leimert Park in south Los Angeles, Tongva Park in Santa Monica, Promenade Square Park in Long Beach, Loma Alta Park in Altadena, and the Wende Museum site in Culver City.

The experience focuses on sound and light-based artworks created by a range of interdisciplinary artists. Some of the featured artists include Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Beatie Wolfe, Media Pollution, Sarah Rara, claire rousay, L. Frank, Qur’an Shaheed, Carmina Escobar, and Odeya Nini. Each location will host distinct works intended to encourage visitors to slow down, listen, engage with their surroundings, and connect with one another.
Attune 1.0 is designed to be family-friendly and open to all ages, and since it takes place in public spaces, participants can visit one or multiple sites as part of a broader shared cultural moment. Organizers describe it as less of a single exhibition and more of a collective, distributed experience that emphasizes connection, harmony, and what organizers have referred to as “amplifying love” through art.
There’s no cost to attend — it’s fully free to the public. Visitors are encouraged to pack a picnic and explore multiple locations if they wish. The event emphasizes slowing down, engaging your senses, and being present with art, sound, and community.
The event’s core theme of “Amplify Love” explores the possibilities of using art as a communal experience to foster unity, joy, and shared reflection. Attune 1.0 aims to bring people together not just to view art, but to experience it synchronously, encouraging calm, curiosity, and connection across neighborhoods. Enjoy a free and family-friendly gathering that’s perfect for a Valentine’s outing, a community stroll, or an immersive evening of public art.
