Family Garden Days at the Gary Marshall Theatre

“Beyond these gates awaits an adventure!” It’s the opening weekend for a fun new show at the Gary Marshall Theatre in Toluca Lake.

Family Garden Days is a 90-minute experience for families, based in discovery, creativity, exploration, and education, as well as “just good solid fun for everyone!”

Join five storytellers for an outdoor story theatre experience and garden exploration. This 90-minute outdoor family adventure is designed for families to share in storytelling, explore nature, create art together, and learn about a community garden that grows because of the inspiration of a single planted seed.

As soon as the Garden Gates open, everyone will set out on a scavenger hunt to discover fruits, vegetables, plants and flowers in The Marshall Gardens.

Next, find a seat for a story theatre presentation based on the book “Seedfolks.”

Then, everyone will get creative and build a giant community art project for the whole neighborhood to see.

Finally, every child will have the chance to plant a flower in their own pot to take home.

PLUS — on opening weekend – every child will also receive a special garden treat to take home – June 4 & 5 from 10AM-11:30AM

Performances:

June 11 & 12, also 18 & 19, 2022 from 10AM-11:30AM including garden exploration, interactive story theatre, community art project, potting a plant to take home.
