Air to perform with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra

Air is a French electronic music duo known for their dreamy, cinematic soundscapes blending downtempo, synth-pop, and ambient elements. Best known for their 1998 album Moon Safari, they gained acclaim for tracks like “Sexy Boy” and “All I Need,” which showcase their lush, retro-futuristic style. Their work often evokes a nostalgic, spacey atmosphere, heavily influenced by 1970s lounge music, analog synths, and film scores. While their later albums explored more experimental and conceptual territory, Air is best remembered for their elegant, emotionally resonant sound that helped define late-90s chillout music.

The French band is set to perform the lush and romantic electro-pop of their wildly influential debut Moon Safari, which Rolling Stone called one of the 100 best albums of the 1990s. The live concert is set for the Hollywood Bowl and has the added emotional heft of orchestral accompaniment courtesy of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Acclaimed producer and DJ Bonobo will deliver the opening set of the evening.
